Secure Checkout Information
At SellTrac, we understand that security is the foundation of every successful business transaction. We employ industry-leading security protocols to ensure that your data—and your customers' financial information—is protected at every step of the checkout process.
🛡️ Bank-Grade Encryption
Our platform uses Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology with 256-bit encryption. This is the same level of security used by major financial institutions. It ensures that any data sent between our servers and your customer’s browser remains private and integral, protected from unauthorized access.
💳 PCI-DSS Level 1 Compliance
SellTrac is designed to meet Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI-DSS).
Tokenization: We never see, store, or transmit raw credit card numbers.
Direct Handshake: When a customer enters their payment details on a SellTrac invoice, that data is sent via a secure, encrypted "handshake" directly to our certified payment partners (Stripe, PayPal, or Square).
Security Tokens: We only receive a secure digital "token" confirming that the payment was successful, allowing us to update your records without ever handling sensitive financial data.
🔒 Trusted Payment Partners
We don't gamble with your security. We exclusively integrate with the world’s most trusted payment infrastructure providers:
Stripe: Certified to PCI Service Provider Level 1 (the most stringent level of certification available).
PayPal: A global leader in secure online payments with built-in buyer and seller protection.
Square: Industry-standard encryption and hardware-level security for every transaction.
🚫 Fraud Prevention & Monitoring
To protect your business from fraudulent transactions, SellTrac leverages the advanced AI and machine-learning fraud detection tools provided by our gateway partners.
3D Secure (3DS): We support 3D Secure verification (such as "Verified by Visa" or "Mastercard SecureCode") for an extra layer of protection on international and high-risk transactions.
CVV Verification: Every card transaction requires CVV (Card Verification Value) checks to ensure the person making the purchase has the physical card in their possession.
🛡️ Data Privacy
Your business data is yours. SellTrac does not sell or share your transaction history with third-party advertisers. Our systems are monitored 24/7 to ensure uptime and to defend against potential security threats, such as DDoS attacks or unauthorized login attempts.
How to Verify a Secure Checkout
When your customers pay a SellTrac invoice, they can verify the security of the connection by looking for these two indicators:
The Padlock Icon: A closed padlock symbol in the browser’s address bar.
"HTTPS": The web address will begin with https:// instead of http://, indicating a secure, encrypted connection is active.
